We strive to prevent illness in our patients whenever possible. Our wellness exams are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter estimate; and specialized blood tests for all life stages. We ask that you provide a fecal sample every year during an annual checkup. Fresh is best! Collect the sample the same day as your appointment and keep specimen refrigerated until appointment time. We urge our clients to keep their pets on a monthly flea, tick and heartworm preventative; we can guide you on what to use as your product of choice. At Rockaway Beach Vet we do not like to over vaccinate our patients, we recommend vaccinations depending on the lifestyle and exposure of your pet.
